Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Your personal content stays on your device. Your name (if you choose to enter one), assessment answers, results, profile scores, and settings are stored exclusively in your device's local storage using Apple's standard AsyncStorage mechanism. This content never leaves your device unless you explicitly share something using your device's own share sheet.

Separately, InnerType collects limited, non-identifying usage analytics to help us understand how the app is used and improve it. These are anonymous events — for example, that the app was opened, an assessment was started or completed, a result was viewed, or the unlock screen was shown — linked to a random identifier generated on your device, together with basic technical context such as your platform, app version, and country (derived from your IP address at the time of the request, which we do not store). We never collect your name, email address, or your assessment answers as part of analytics.

2. No account, no identity

InnerType requires no account, no login, and no email address. We have no mechanism to identify who you are, and we do not want one. You are anonymous to us by design.

3. Analytics

InnerType collects anonymous usage events (for example: the app was opened, an assessment was started, an assessment was completed, a result was viewed, the unlock screen was shown, or a purchase was completed) linked to a random device identifier. These events are sent to and stored on secure servers (via Supabase) so we can understand how the app is used and improve it over time.

This analytics data is non-identifying: it does not include your name, email address, or your assessment answers, and we have no way to trace it back to a specific person. You can read more about the third-party processor in section 6.

Apple may separately collect aggregated, anonymized App Store metrics (such as download counts and crash rate summaries) through standard developer dashboards. That data is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.

4. In-app purchases

If you choose to unlock InnerType Premium, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not see, store, or handle your payment information. The only confirmation we receive from Apple is whether the purchase was completed — no financial details are shared with us.

Your payment data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Sharing your results

InnerType includes an optional feature to share your assessment result as an image or text. If you use it:

• On iOS, sharing uses the native iOS share sheet. The app does not send anything to our servers.
• Where you share (a messaging app, social platform, etc.) is your choice. That destination's own privacy policy governs what happens once you share.

Sharing is always optional and always initiated by you.

6. Third-party services

InnerType does not integrate with any third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or social login providers, and does not sell your data.

The app relies on two third parties: Apple's App Store infrastructure for distribution and payment processing (governed by Apple's policies), and Supabase, which stores the anonymous usage analytics described in section 3. No assessment answers or personally identifying information are shared with either service for analytics purposes.

7. Children's privacy

InnerType is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we have no data about children to manage. If you are a parent or guardian with concerns, please contact us.

8. Data deletion

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you control it entirely. To delete everything:

• Open InnerType → Settings → Reset all data. This clears all stored data from your device immediately and permanently.
• Alternatively, uninstalling the app removes all local data.

The only data on our side is the anonymous, non-identifying analytics described in section 3. Because it is not linked to your name, email, or any identifier we can trace to you, we have no way to locate or delete a specific person's events on request — there is nothing in that data that identifies you.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce features that involve data collection, this policy will be updated and the effective date changed. We will provide notice within the app before any material change takes effect. The current version will always be available at this URL.
